How this store works

Refund policy

Because every item is made to order with your specific design, we treat the open-window period as the time to change your mind, and everything after that as final-sale — with one exception for quality.

During the open window

You can request a full refund for any reason while the store is still open. Email brian@theapparellab.com with your order number; we’ll process the refund within 1–2 business days back to your original payment method.

After the window closes

Once the store closes, production begins immediately and orders are final. We can’t accept refunds or exchanges for change-of-mind, wrong-size choices, or wrong-color choices made at checkout.

Quality issues, anytime

If your item arrives damaged, misprinted, or otherwise defective — or if we shipped you the wrong item — we cover it. Email brian@theapparellab.com within 14 days of receiving your order with a photo of the issue. We replace at our cost, or refund if a replacement isn’t possible.

Shipping & production

Production starts after the order window closes. We consolidate every order from the window into a single production run, which is how we keep pricing as low as we do.

Timeline

• • Window closes: production order is placed within 1 business day.
• • Production: typically 7–14 business days from window close.
• • Delivery: ships immediately after production. Pickup orders ship to Plaid Attestation Demo in bulk; direct-ship orders ship to your address.

The exact production-finished date for this window will be communicated via email after the window closes.

Shipping options at checkout

• • Pickup at Plaid Attestation Demo — free. Your order ships to the studio in a bulk box; the studio distributes at pickup.
• • Ship to me (1–2 items) — $10 flat. We ship directly to your address.
• • Ship to me (3+ items) — $15 flat. Same direct-ship; higher carrier cost.

We ship within the United States only.

Terms of sale

By placing an order on this store you agree to the following:

• • Made-to-order. Items are not pulled from stock — they are produced after your order is placed and the window closes. The refund policy above reflects that mechanic.
• • Merchant of record. The Apparel Lab is the seller of record on this transaction. Payment is processed through Stripe; your card statement will read “The Apparel Lab.”
• • Pricing. Retail prices are set per item and shown at checkout. The order total includes any applicable sales tax (see below) plus your chosen shipping option.
• • Order accuracy. You are responsible for selecting the correct size, color, and quantity at checkout. Use the size guide before adding to cart if you’re unsure. Size or color choices are not eligible for refund after the window closes.
• • Chargebacks & disputes. If you have an issue with your order, contact us first at brian@theapparellab.com. We’ll resolve it directly. Filing a chargeback without contacting us first slows the resolution for both of us.
• • Limitation of liability. The Apparel Lab’s liability on any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Sales tax

The Apparel Lab is registered in Florida. Orders shipped to a Florida address have sales tax calculated at checkout based on the destination ZIP, added on top of the retail price, and remitted to the Florida Department of Revenue on your behalf. Orders shipped to other US states currently do not have sales tax collected. The tax line, when applicable, is shown clearly in your checkout total before you complete payment.
